大炊御門経光〈おおいみかどつねみつ・1638-1704〉は、江戸時代の公卿。右大臣経孝〈つねたか・1614-82〉の子。元禄７年〈1694〉従一位に進む。同17年正月10日、左大臣に任ぜられたが、翌11日に辞した。その年の９月、67歳で死去。この懐紙は、元禄９年〈1696〉１月24日の御会始での詠。歌題は飛鳥井雅豊〈あすかいまさとよ・1664-1712〉の出詠、万里小路淳房〈までのこうじあつふさ・1652-1709〉が奉行をつかさどっている。経光は時に59 歳。着実な運筆で、和歌懐紙の書式に則って書かれている。「春の日、同じく「若菜、時を知る」ということを詠める和歌／従一位藤原経光／萌え出づる草木が中の初若菜先しる君が千世の春かも」
