大綱宗彦〈だいこうそうげん・1772-1860〉は、臨済宗大徳寺派の僧。京都の人。空華室・昨夢・向春庵と号した。６歳で大徳寺の塔頭、黄梅院に入室した。文政３年〈1820〉大徳寺第435世の住持となった。文芸に優れた才を発揮し、風雅にも親しんだ。とりわけ茶の湯への造詣は深く、玄々斎宗室・吸江斎宗左・以心斎宗守ら錚々たる茶人と親交した。陶工の永楽保全や南画家の小田海遷とも交友を結んだ。かれの日記である『空華室日記』は、示寂の前日まで続けられた。この詠草は、米寿、つまり88歳の祝賀の餅を奉納するにあたって書かれたもの。宗彦は89歳で没している。「臣僧大綱上（たてまつ）る／米寿の餅飯を玄起所へ奉るとて／たてまつる餅の鏡大君の千代に八千代を長く照らさん」
