『大般涅槃経』巻第八（如来性品第十二）を書写する。釈尊の最後の旅路における発病からその入滅、その後の荼毘、舎利供養までを順を追って描写する。仏画の「仏涅槃図」をはじめとする仏教美術におおきく影響を及ぼす経典である。この１巻は、雁皮質の素紙に微細な雲母砂子を撒き、銀泥で界を引く。清楚な装飾経といえる。単独で書写されたというよりも、一切経（5048巻）の一部ではなかったか。一見粗野にみえる筆跡ながら、熟視すると、王朝の和様の風が感じられる。平安時代１２世紀の書写。
