安楽庵策伝〈あんらくあんさくでん・1554-1642〉は、桃山～江戸時代初期にかけての僧侶。武将金森可頼（よしより）の二男として美濃に生まれる。法諱は日快（にっかい）。通称平林平太夫（ひらばやしひょうだゆう）、号は策伝・醒翁（せいおう）。11歳のとき京都の禅林寺に入り、智空甫赦〈ちくうほしゃく・1529-86〉に師事。のちの元和九年〈1623〉に、京都の浄土宗誓願寺（せいがんじ）境内に創設した竹林院の住持となった。茶道を古田織部〈ふるたおりべ・1544-1615〉に学び、晩年は茶室「安楽庵」を営み多くの茶人と交わった。また、彼は和歌・狂歌を能くし、話芸に巧みで、滑稽諧謔の談話『醒睡笑』(８巻・寛永５年〈1628〉刊)をまとめており、落語家の祖とされている。策伝の筆跡はあまり知られておらず、この短冊は稀少な自筆遺墨といえる。
