優雅で力強いヒューマニスト書体
時禱書の連祷部分の零葉で、15世紀のヒューマニスト書体で書かれている。この零葉を写字したピエラントニオ・サッランド（Pierantonio Sallando）はレッジョ・エミリア出身で、ボローニャ大学教授の地位にあり、1489 年から1540年頃まで、ボローニャの僭主だったベンティボーリョ家のジョバンニ2世（1443–1508）などの庇護を受けて活躍していた。唱句と答唱（レスポンソリウム）を示す‘V’と‘R’、さらに文頭の大文字には赤と青が交互に用いられ、ページの最下行には大きな飾りのストロークが見られる。サッランドは、同時期にボローニャで制作された「アルバニ時禱書」（BL MS Yates Thompson 29）をはじめとして多くの豪華写本を制作している。(TM)
