飯尾常房〈いいおつねふさ・1422-85〉は、室町時代後期の武将。通称は彦六左衛門。この一系は古朝鮮・百済国王の末裔たる三善氏の出自で、承久年間（1219-1222）の頃から阿波国（徳島県）麻植（おえ）郡飯尾（いのお。ゆえに「いのおつねふさ」が正しいともされる）村に移り、飯尾姓を名乗った。常房は讃岐守細川成之〈ほそかわしげゆき・1434-1511〉に仕え、室町幕府の書吏をつとめた能書として知られる。書流系譜では、尊円流（青蓮院流）より派生した飯尾流の祖とし、さらに鳥飼宗慶〈とりかいそうけい・生没年未詳〉の鳥飼流を生んだと伝える（系譜によっては、飯尾流を鳥飼流に含める場合もある）。和歌を尭孝〈ぎょうこう・1391-1455〉に学び、応仁の乱による都の荒廃を詠じた「汝や知る都は野辺の夕雲雀（ゆうひばり）あがるを見ても落つる涙は」の詠はとくに著名である。署名を明記する短冊の何葉かが残っており、これもその中のひとつ。整った尊円流の和様を示している。藍の雲紙に、銀泥ですすきの下絵を描いた装飾料紙を用いる。
