Object Reading Lounge

"Object Reading Lounge" is where you can experience the exhibition "Object Reading: Eight Views" in depth. The first thing you see when you enter the lounge is "Town of Shelves". In this small library, the eight departments joining in the exhibition bring catalogues, reports and references related to the objects in the exhibition, as well as books and other materials related to their research areas.

Exploring the shelves further, you will find a variety of "menus" produced by the Keio Museum Commons (KeMCo) student project "KeMCoM" to help you get closer to the objects. There is a counter in the centre of the lounge where you can take your time filling the Eight-perspective Piece and making your own exhibition catalogue. There is also a demonstration of the "Keio Object Hub", a portal site for the cultural heritage of Keio University.
