花山院定誠〈かざんいんさだのぶ・1640-1704〉は、江戸時代の公卿。花山院定好の子。母は鷹司信尚のむすめ。兄の定教の養子となり、花山院家を嗣いだ。延宝２年〈1674〉正二位に進み、貞享元年〈1684〉内大臣に任ぜられた。同３年には辞職して、元禄５年〈1692〉剃髪して出家した。法名は自覚。定誠は学問を好み、書道にも通じ、藤木敦直に従って大師流書法の伝授を受けた。また、小野道風の『新楽府帖』を双鉤塡墨（原本に紙を重ねて輪郭を写し取り、中の空白部分に墨を塗り込める複製方法）した。この和歌懐紙は、延宝５年〈1677〉１月19日の御会始で書かれたもの。当時、定誠は38歳であった。「春の日、同じく「春情有鴬」ということを詠める和歌／正二位藤原定誠／春しるや人の心の花も待つ鳴く鴬の声の匂ひに」

春日同詠春情有鴬和歌正二位藤原定誠はるしるやひとのこゝろの花もまつなくうぐひすの声のにほひに
