冷泉為村〈れいぜいためむら・1712-74〉は、江戸時代中期の公卿、歌人。父は権大納言冷泉為久〈ためひさ・1686-1741〉。母は摂津富田本照寺寂恩（じゃくおん）のむすめ。宝暦８年〈1758〉正二位に、翌９年〈1759〉権大納言に任ぜられた。明和７年〈1770〉落飾し、法名を澄覚とした。為村は霊元院・父の為久・烏丸光栄・中院通躬らの指導を受けて和歌を学び、詠歌に精進を重ねて40歳以前に10万首の歌を詠んだと伝える。上冷泉流の興隆に貢献したことから、冷泉家中興の歌人と評される。霊元院が没すると『霊元院御製集』の編集を行った。歌論書『樵夫問答』や家集『冷泉為村卿和歌』がある。この和歌懐紙は、民部卿時代の46歳から58歳の間に書かれたもの。祖先定家の書流だが、字粒の大きさが整い、細線を用いて軽やかさを感じさせる。「春の日「春風、先ず苑中の梅に発（おこ）る」ということを詠める和歌／民部卿為村／まづ咲ける花をはじめの花園に吹くも薫りて霞む春風」
