堯孝〈ぎょうこう・1391-1455〉は、室町時代前期の歌僧。頓阿〈とんあ・1829-1372〉の曾孫。堯尋（ぎょうじん）の子。晩年は法印・権大僧都に至った。公武の歌人と広く交流があり、とくに父の代からは飛鳥井家と深く親交を結んだ。堯孝は飛鳥井雅世とともに、二条流歌壇の中心的人物として活躍し、正徹、および冷泉派に対抗した。永享５年〈1433〉後花園天皇の勅命を受けて『新続古今集』を撰集した。また連歌にも巧みであった。書においては、飛鳥井雅縁の宋雅流より出て、新たに堯孝流の祖とされる。この詠草は、雲紙に一首を散らし書きにする。署名「老比丘堯孝」より、晩年の執筆と知る。何首かを散らし書きに書写した巻物の巻末部分と推量される。「なをも世にうつゝある物とまどふにぞ三年の夢も驚ろかるらん老比丘堯孝」
