この『蘇摩（婆が正しい）呼童子請問経』は、三巻本。本巻はその巻上のうち「分別処所分品第二」以下の残巻（巻頭の「律分品第一」は欠失）。この経典は、真言密教における要典の一つとして知られる。広義には「一切経」（5048巻）の中に含まれるが、単独に書写されることは稀有。本巻は、素朴な料紙と奥書の形式などから推して、「一切経」の中の１巻であったと思われる。白楮紙に真鍮の界（本来は金泥を用いるべきところ高価で稀少のため）を引いて、優美な和様書体をつらねている。巻末に「保延四年〈1138〉五月一日」の書写年記が記されている。12世紀半ばにおける写経遺品として、銘記すべき存在である。
