This is a musical instrument for the Esoteric Buddhism ritual. At the top there are two rings to be used for hanging with a string. Hanging on the stand, and beat it as a gong for sutra chanting. It is mostly made of cast bronze in the shape of a chevron, either plain or decorated with a design of a pair of facing peacocks.
