高畠式部〈たかばたけしきぶ・1785-1881〉は、幕末から明治にかけての女流歌人。歌人高畠清音の室、名は登美子。式部は雅号である。歌を香川景樹〈かがわかげき・1786-1843〉に学び、大田垣蓮月〈おおたがきれんげつ・1791-1875〉とともに桂門を代表する女流歌人として知られた。景樹没後は、千種有功〈ちぐさありこと・1797-1854〉に師事した。書画にも秀でたという。明治14年〈1881〉、97歳の生涯を閉じた。水辺の芦に見え隠れする小舟を軽妙なタッチで描く。上部に自詠の七夕の歌１首を穏和な書風で書写する。落款から、明治３年〈1870〉、86歳のときの作品と知れる。
