十時梅厓〈とときばいがい・1749-1804〉は、儒者および書画家として知られた人物。大阪の人。名は賜、字は子羽。通称半蔵、別に願亭・清夢軒・天臨閣と号した。儒学は伊藤東所〈いとうとうしょ・1742-1804。東厓の子〉に学び、書は趙陶斎〈ちょうとうさい・1713-86〉に師事してその技量を磨き、同門の頼春水〈らいしゅんすい・1746-1816〉と双璧をなした。趙氏を介して伊勢長島藩主の増山雪斎〈ましやませっさい・1754-1819〉に儒官として仕え、寛政12年〈1800〉に辞して大坂に帰り、木村兼葭堂〈きむらけんかどう・1736-1802〉・岡田米山人〈おかだべいさんじん・1744-1818〉ら文人と交わりをもった。晩年はもっぱら書画をもって鳴り、絵は山水・蘭竹を得意とし、また篆刻もよくした。淡々とした詩文ながら、梅厓の心情を端的に表現している。自作の詩で、自在に筆を走らせている。
