鴨祐夏〈かものすけなつ・生没年未詳〉は、貴布祢（貴船）神社の祢宜をつとめた祐雄（すけたけ）の子。父と同じく貴布祢社祢宜につき、河合社権祢宜をもつとめたという。歌人としても知られ、その歌は、『続千載和歌集』『続後拾遺和歌集』『新千載和歌集』『新拾遺和歌集』の各集に入集する。また、二条為世〈にじょうためよ・1250-1338〉ら二条派の歌人とも交流があった。正中２年〈1325〉かれらと月次歌会を開催し、その時の詠歌が歌集『飛月集（ひげつしゅう）』に26首収められている。その筆跡は、極めてゆったりとした運筆で、着実穏雅の風を示す。江戸時代に編まれた書流系譜によると、三条西実隆〈さんじょうにしさねたか・1455-1537〉の三条流に分類される。料紙は素紙で、歌題の「祝」は別筆。
