黄檗で染めた黄麻紙に薄墨の界（罫線）を引いて経文を書写する。経典名は不明ながら、『大正新修大蔵経』によれば、毘曇部の「衆事分阿毘曇論」の文言に類似する。おそらく、一切経として書写された写経の一部であると推定される。肉太でやや大ぶりの重厚な書風が、天平時代の写経の優品である「薬師寺経」（大般若経）の筆跡を思わせる。奈良時代後期の典型的書風である。
