植松雅言〈うえまつまさこと・1826-76〉は、雅恭〈まさたか・1815-1855〉の子。植松家は代々華道をもって奉仕し、３代賞雅〈よしまさ・1705-85〉は華道松月堂古流（しょうげつどうこりゅう）の家元として知られる。雅言は第７代家元として、安政３年〈1856〉、孝明天皇〈こうめいてんのう・1831-67〉から日本生花司の冠号を与えられた。安政５年〈1858〉、幕府の日米通商修好条約締結の動きに反発した88人の貴族らが、御所および関白九条尚忠〈くじょうひさただ・1798-1871〉の私邸におしかけ、異議を申し立てるという未曾有の事件が起きたが（廷臣八十八卿列参事件）、雅言もこれに加わった。明治９年〈1876〉、41歳で没。
