桜井基佐〈さくらいもとすけ・生没年未詳〉は、室町時代中期の連歌師。基佐を元輔・元佐とも書いた。のち、出家して永仙（えいせん）と号する。和歌を正徹（しょうてつ）に学ぶ。文明14年〈1482〉大原十如院で、飯尾宗祇〈いいおそうぎ・1421-1502〉・宗長〈そうちょう・1448-1532〉とともに、のちに「大原三吟（おおはらさんぎん）」と呼称される連歌を行い、これ以後もしばしば宗祇らと吟詠した。しかし明応４年〈1495〉宗祇が『新撰菟玖波集』を撰した際には、その中に一句も入集せず、これを揶揄して「足なくて上りかねたる筑波山和歌の道には達者なれども」（『和語抄』）と詠んだ歌は有名である。連歌句集『基佐集』、歌集『桜井基佐集』を残す。暢達した筆致を示しており、充実した壮年期の書写か。この短冊の料紙は藍と紫の雲紙。歌題は別筆。
