この和歌懐紙は、歌題より、延宝５年〈1677〉１月19日の御会始で書かれたものであろう。現在は、惜しくも位署の部分が欠損している。このとき、少納言であった公家のうち、本姓が清原氏である人物が筆者。奇しくも、当財団が蔵する「水樹多佳趣」と題する詩懐紙の筆者、伏原宣幸〈ふしはらのぶゆき・1637-1705〉は、同年に辞任するまで少納言職にあった。それぞれの歌題、位署に共通する書風から、同一筆者と推定されるものである。「春の日、同じく「春情有鴬」ということを詠める和歌／少納言清原□□／雪はまた消えぬ御園も朝な朝な鳴く鴬は春にのどけき」
