黄檗で染めた黄麻紙に薄墨の界（罫線）を引いて『妙法蓮華経玄賛』（全20巻）を書写する。巻第二の断簡（１紙分）である。『法華経』を法相宗の立場で注釈した特異な経典である。特殊ゆえに、一切経の中の１巻にちがいない。謹厳で力強い筆法の筆致は、奈良時代中期の典型を示している。
