中沼秀興〈なかぬまひでおき・1659-1737～〉は、中沼秀福の子。長沼氏は、三上山の百足退治伝承の藤原秀郷、別名、俵藤太の末裔という。秀興は正徳５年〈1715〉、57歳で近衛家久により但馬守に任ぜられた。元文２年〈1737〉に辞職したが、その後の経歴は不明である。これは、秀興が享保11年〈1726〉正五位に叙されて以降、同16年までの間に書かれた和歌懐紙である。「春の日、同じく「雪中若菜」ということを詠める和歌／正五位下行但馬守藤原朝臣秀興／飛火野の雪間の若菜君が経む千年をかねて摘みやそめまし」
