烏丸光康〈からすまるみつやす・1513-79〉は、室町・桃山時代の公卿。冬光の子。寛永の三筆に並ぶ能書として謳われた烏丸光広〈みつひろ・1579-1638〉の祖父にあたる。権大納言を経て、従一位・准大臣に至る。将軍足利義晴〈あしかがよしはる・1521-46〉と親しくした人物で、義晴が京都を追われた際、近江・越前などに随伴した。この懐紙は、位署に「権中納言」とあることから、光康が権中納言在任中、すなわち26歳から33歳にかけての執筆と知る。右肩上がりの曲線的な筆法は、飛鳥井雅康〈あすかいまさやす・1436-1509〉の二楽流に私淑した特徴がよく表れている。「冬の日、同じく二首の和歌を詠める／権中納言藤原光康／冬天象夕あらしくも吹きはらふ空晴て入日をみがく雪の山の端／冬祝言神やなをまもりそふらんさかき葉をうたふ声にもおさまれる世は」
