中院通躬〈なかのいんみちみ・1668-1739〉は、江戸時代の公卿。内大臣中院通茂〈みちしげ・1631-1710〉の嗣子。母は小笠原左衛門佐源政信のむすめ。野宮家を嗣いだ定基〈ののみやさだもと・1669-1711〉、久世家を嗣いだ通夏〈くぜみちなつ・1670-1747〉らは弟である。かれの嗣子の通藤が６歳で夭折したため、久世通夏の息男・通枝を後嗣とした。通躬は父・通茂に歌学を受け、通茂の亡くなったのち、霊元院歌壇での重きを成し、江戸中期を代表する堂上歌人の一人となった。また、漢学を熊沢蕃山に学んだ。日記に『右槐御記』がある。これは、二首の詠草。第一首目に合点を記している。「通躬上（たてまつ）る／舟中時雨漕ぐ舩に苫もおほはじ降るほどは浪路に晴るゝ風の時雨を／降りきても降りつ定めぬ時雨とや静かに下す宇治の川舟」
