近衛基熙〈このえもとひろ・1648-1722〉は、江戸中期の公卿。父は関白尚嗣（ひさつぐ）、母は後水尾天皇の皇女昭子内親王。内大臣・右大臣・左大臣を経て、元禄３年〈1690〉従一位・関白を極めた。のち、宝永６年〈1709〉には太政大臣に進んだ。和歌のほか諸芸に通じたが、とりわけ書道においては、平安朝の名筆を規範とする上代様の奥義に達し、復古和様の先駆をなした。これは詠草。詞書と和歌一首を書く。「丹波頼庸」とは、錦小路頼庸〈にしきこうじよりつね・1667-1735〉のことで、典薬頭および右京権大輔を務めた人物。「丹波頼庸に青海波の八面の絵をあつらへけるに、いみじく描きければ、悦（よろこび）のあまりに／写し絵に見てしもあひ（藍？）に青海の波にはあらぬ心深さよ／基熙」
