Ninagawa Chikamoto (1433-88) was a warrior and renga (linked verse) poet of the Muromachi Period. This calligraphy shows the Shinkan-yo style, a writing style the generations of emperors developed.
冬日同詠三首和歌 右衛門尉宮道親元古渡千鳥つまこふるさ野ゝ渡のさ夜ちどりやどりありともなをやうかれむ 雪似白雲雪なれやふゞきにくもる山風のはれ間にかゝるみねのしら雲社頭述懐あゆみこそ山をへだつる大ひえの神はいのりし道をわするな
