徳大寺実維〈とくだいじさねふさ・1636-82〉は、江戸時代の公卿。左大臣公信〈きんのぶ・1606-84〉の子。寛文７年〈1667〉正二位となり、同11年には内大臣に任ぜられた。天和２年〈1682〉９月、47歳で没した。この詠草は、歌題「草花初開」の和歌会への出詠にあたり、二首を詠み、その添削を和歌の師匠（不明）に求めるためにしたためたものである。上代様を思わせる温和な筆致で、闊達な筆を運ぶ。実維の能書を証明する遺墨である。

実維草花初開百草にまづさきだちてませ（籬）のうちの露にひもとく萩のはつ花みだれあふ庭のいと萩さきそめて露の光もけさはことなる
