『法華経』妙音菩薩品第二四の断簡。黄檗で染めた黄麻紙に薄墨の界（罫線）を引く。肉太でやや大ぶり、謹厳で重厚な書風が、天平時代を代表する写経の優品である「薬師寺経」「神護景雲経」（称徳天皇発願一切経）の筆跡を思い起こさせる。奈良時代後期の写経体の典型である。
