割礼の表現があることから成人男性を模した彫像と考えられる。耳元まで裂ける口や鋸歯状の歯列は見る者の目を引き、まさしく珍奇性/異形性を想起させる。一方で胸部には装飾品が、背部には刺青がそれぞれ線刻によって精緻に表現される。刺青の表現はジグザグ文と波線より構成され、爬虫類の鱗を思わせる。線刻の他に、臀部には蛇の目紋が描かれる。当地域では舞踏用具に男性像が付されることが報告されている。当資料のような直立の男性像は首長の家屋に安置されていたようだ。類例には当地域を訪問した商船の船長を象った彫像が確認される。

As a prototype feature, the Keio Object Hub uses AI (machine learning) to generate keywords for searches and filtering.
For the first launch, Google Cloud's Vision API will be used to analyze the images of each object and automatically generate keywords.
