この像は身体的な特徴から男性と判別できる。右胸部と腹部に刺⻘を模したと思われる線刻が認められ、眼にはタカラガイが嵌⼊される。この資料の収集地は判然としない。アドミラルティ諸島より収集された彫像類の大半には彩色や装飾的な表現が認められる一方で、この彫像には彩色が確認できず、装飾的な表現が極力排除されている。未成品の可能性も捨てきれないが、現在までに類例品との形態比較から収集地を特定するには至っていない。興味深いことに腰部にはおそらく来訪者との交易により入手した織布が巻き付けられている。褪色は激しいが織布には共通する幾何学模様が施されていることが確認できる。

As a prototype feature, the Keio Object Hub uses AI (machine learning) to generate keywords for searches and filtering.
For the first launch, Google Cloud's Vision API will be used to analyze the images of each object and automatically generate keywords.
