鼈甲製の釣針。鈎部の内側に皺が寄っており、鼈甲板を湾曲させて製作したと考えられる。上部に付けられた切り込みは、当資料を釣⽷に結び付けて使用するためのものであろう。シカゴ・フィールド博物館に所蔵される小嶺コレクションには同形の釣針が大量に含まれており、ニューアイルランドにて収集されたと記録が残されている。
