慶應大コレクションの短剣はいずれも剣身，着柄部，柄部の3 部位から構成され，剣身は黒曜石製石刃とエイの尾棘製に分かれる．柄部は木製で，剣身と着柄部は樹脂製の膠着材で接合される．多くは着柄部に装飾を持ち，赤褐色を基調に白色・青色・黒色で意匠が描かれている．石刃はアドミラルティ諸島産の黒曜石製を使用している．石刃先端部の細かな調整痕は，刃部形態の意識的な整形を物語る．着柄部には波線，鋸歯等の文様があり，柄部には交差文様が施されている．それぞれの文様は浮き彫りで表現され，凹部に白色顔料を塗り込み，凸部を青と黒で彩色している．

As a prototype feature, the Keio Object Hub uses AI (machine learning) to generate keywords for searches and filtering.
For the first launch, Google Cloud's Vision API will be used to analyze the images of each object and automatically generate keywords.
