舎利（しゃり）とは、釈迦の遺骨のこと。釈迦の死後、荼毘（だび）に付した遺骨は８つに分けられ、それらを祀るストゥーパ（塔）が建てられた。そこに遺骨を埋納するために作られたのが舎利容器である。ここから起こった舎利崇拝ひいては仏塔崇拝が、中国・朝鮮を経て仏教伝来とともに日本にも伝わった。これは、鎌倉時代より通例となった、扉をそなえた厨子に舎利を納める形式の舎利容器。舎利容器にみたてた火焔宝珠を蓮台にのせている。蓮華座を備えるのは、舎利即釈迦であり、仏座を意図するものである。

For the first launch, Google Cloud's Vision API will be used to analyze the images of each object and automatically generate keywords.
