The decoration consists of a multi-story building, rocky hills, pine trees, bridge, and other elements of Chinese-style paintings. Perhaps the design was influenced by the black-ink paintings of China. Incorporating landscapes into mirror designs developed after the mid-Edo Period, and the style was emulated by many mirror workshops.
