植物・鳥類を描く構図は平安時代を踏襲するが、鎌倉時代のそれは、概して肉高な文様である。平安鏡の文様は基本的に一本の篦で刻まれていたが、鎌倉鏡では何種類もの篦（へら）が使われ、立体感のある表現がなされるようになった。縁が厚く、内区と外区を分ける界圏も太いのが、鎌倉鏡の特徴である。

For the first launch, Google Cloud's Vision API will be used to analyze the images of each object and automatically generate keywords.
