This mirror shows an inscription in its outer band, while a linked bow decoration appears in the inner band, closer to the central knob. The piece closely resembles the mirrors with central linked-bow design of the Later Han Dynasty but is characterized by the inscribed outer band, which is absent in most such mirrors. The central knob here is a hemisphere around which a string of twelve balls are neatly arranged like a string of pearls.
