This mirror is decorated with a motif of intertwined dragons. Originally, there were two popular dragon designs: one with a coiled and crouched dragon and the other with a quadruped, snake-like dragon without horns (Source: Guang Ya written by Zhang Die of Wei). In general, decorative and stylized designs consisting of intertwined dragons, regardless of their horns, were generically called “dragon scrolls.”
