The motif using a spiral pattern was developed from that of a coiled dragon and was frequently used during the Period of Warring States (Ch. Zhanguo or Chan-kuo; Jap. Sengoku). The mirror has a spoon-like edge. Mirrors of this kind often have a central knob with a three-ridge design.
