This is a dressing table of lacquer art. Lacquer art developed originally in the East. Among the works of lacquer art, makie achieved unique development in Japan. Makie is a type of decorative technique, in which metal or pigment powder is sprinkled over patterns delineated in lacquer for drawing, before the lacquer is dry.
