磬を掛ける用具が磬架である。台の上に二本の柱を立て、その上に洲浜形の横木を取り付けている。組み合わせた部分を金銅の金具で飾り、補強している。黒漆塗の豪快な造りの中に、直線と曲線の交錯によって優美な姿を形成している。これは、鎌倉時代末期の稀有な遺品と推定するもの。
