北宋の僧大智元照〈だいちげんしょう・1048-1116〉の画像。唐時代に南山律宗を提唱した道宣の法系につらなる学僧で、南山律宗の再興者とされた。その画像は、ふつうは椅子に掛け、右手に巻子を執る姿に描かれる。が、本図は、右手に錫杖、左手には大きな托鉢を捧げ持ち、岩に腰掛けて休息する図様。これは、元照の行状が「常披布伽黍、杖錫持鉢、乞食于市」といわれるところを絵画化したものである。これは、絵師堯尊が描いたという大智律師像（奈良・西大寺蔵）に倣うものである。描いた筆者は不明であるが、伝存稀有の遺例として貴重な作品である。

For the first launch, Google Cloud's Vision API will be used to analyze the images of each object and automatically generate keywords.
