梁川星巌〈やながわせいがん・1789-1858〉は、江戸末期の漢詩人。名は卯（のち孟緯）、字は伯兎（のち公図）、星巌のほか天谷翁・老龍庵・詩禅などを号した。美濃に生まれたが、15歳の時に江戸に出て、古賀精里〈こがせいり・1750-1827〉・山本北山〈やまもとほくざん・1752-1812〉らに儒学を学んだ。が、もっぱら詩作に精励、天保３年〈1832〉には神田お玉が池近くに玉池吟社（たまいけぎんしゃ）を組織して、多くの門弟を抱え、名声は一気に高まった。一方、藤田東湖〈ふじたとうこ・1806-1855〉・佐久間象山〈さくましょうざん・1811-1864〉らと国事を憂い、弘化３年〈1846〉には京都に上り、梅田雲浜〈うめだうんぴん・1815-1859〉・吉田松蔭〈よしだしょういん・1830-1859〉ら尊皇の志士と交わった。安政の大獄の始まる直前、病にたおれ、70歳で死去した。かれの詩才は、頼山陽〈らいさんよう・1780-1832〉と並び称され、「日本の李白」とまで賞讃されたという。『星巌詩集』によると、「梨花邨草舎支集」（起丙戌四月、尽丁亥三月）に所収される。文政９年〈1826〉から翌10年の間に詠じた詩である。揮毫もこの時とすれば、星巌38～39歳となる。整った行書作品、清純な書風がただよう。
