三井親和〈みついしんな・1700-82〉は、江戸中期の書家・武術家。龍湖・深川漁父・万玉亭などを号した。早くに信濃から江戸に出て深川に居住、湯島の禅僧東湖に書を学ぶ。のち、唐様の祖と仰がれる細井広沢〈ほそいこうたく・1658-1736〉に師事、文徴明〈ぶんちょうめい・1470-1559〉風の唐様書道を能くした。また、篆書・篆刻にも長じた。下町の流行書家として聞こえ、社寺の額字、商店の看板などを多く書き、多彩な書家として知られる。とくにかれの篆書は染物に用いられ、親和染めの名が誕生したほどである。これは、五言二句を横幅に書写する。冒頭、刷毛で書いたような文字「草」が、親和の得意とした篆書。続いて、筆勢あふれる行書で書き継いでいる。自然の恵みを称える語。器用な親和の一面を物語る作品である。「草木、野辺を饒かにし、山川、古情多し」
