白幽子〈はくゆうし・生没年未詳〉は、江戸時代中期の書家として知られる。書家で漢詩人の石川丈山〈いしかわじょうざん・1583-1672〉の師友。京都白川の山中で、『老子』と『金剛経』を座右の書とする生活を送っていた。その筆法は仙境の筆跡のような超凡なものであったという。長命で、200余歳ともいうが定かでない。宝永６年〈1709〉８月９日に没したというが、この年に白川の山中を出たともいう。筆の腹を使った力強い運筆が特徴。伝存稀少の遺墨として注目される。「一歳の風光は、此従り始む」。
