白川雅光〈しらかわまさみつ・1660-1706〉は、神祇伯雅喬〈まさたか・1620-1688〉の長男。初名は雅元（まさもと）。延宝７年〈1679〉神祇伯となり、同11年〈1698〉に神祇伯を辞すが、宝永元年〈1704〉に再任される。同３年に47歳で没した。この短冊には、中院通村〈なかのいんみちむら・1588-1653〉を祖とする中院流の筆致が見える。また、歌題の筆者は、定家流の能書・冷泉為綱〈れいぜいためつな・1664-1722〉の筆であろう。「おもふどち（思ふどち）」とは、親しい仲間同士の意。
