楷書体で『般若心経』（単に「心経」とも）を書写する。この経典は、厖大な般若経典の内容を圧縮し、般若・皆空の精神をあらわした簡潔なもので、数ある経典の中で一番短い経典である。個人的な発願による写経、あるいは数量を誇ることに写経功徳を願う供養（たとえば千巻経）において、必然的にこの短い経典が選ばれた。一見すると、奈良朝の写経「隅寺心経」を連想させる。が、謹厳な天平写経にはほど遠い筆法。料紙も違う。また、末尾に「十一月廿九日」「十一月晦日」の日付が書き加えられており、日課にこの『般若心経』を書き継いでいったことが想定される。「隅寺心経」は、隅寺（海龍王寺。奈良の法華寺の東北隅にある寺であることからの俗称）において、空海（弘法大師）が、毎日日課で心経を100巻書写したものという伝承をもつ。これに倣って書写されたものではなかったか。「伝空海筆鼠心経」にも共通するところから、室町時代・15世紀の写経と知る。稀有な日課写経の遺墨として価値が高い。
