冷泉為村〈れいぜいためむら・1712-74〉は、冷泉為久〈れいぜいためひさ・1686-1741〉の子。正二位・権大納言に至る。明和７年〈1770〉に落飾して澄覚（ちょうかく）と号した。家業の和歌をよくして流派の隆盛に尽くし、小沢蘆庵〈おざわろあん・1723-1801〉をはじめ、多数の門弟を擁した。扁平で筆圧の強弱が極端なその筆跡は、まぎれもなく定家流の書。自署の法号「澄覚」より、59歳以降、晩年の筆と知る。歌題は別筆。

初郭公：かねてよりなれ（汝）もまちてや夏になるけふを初音のやまほとゝぎす澄覚
